Geocaching

We find a new hobby with dogs. Most of everyday walkings we do at the same trails. New idea is geocaching with dogs. New trails, different places and some work for people and dogs. First we walk near the right place with GPS or map. Next people and dogs try to find geocache together. Nearly all of our dogs know command "search". It means that they try to find human's things.

Koirien kanssa on löydetty uusi harrastus. Normaali lenkeillä tulee usein kuljettua samoja polkuja. Vaihtelua lenkkeihin on saatu etsimällä lähiseutujen metsä-geokätköjä. Useimmissa kätköpaikoissa ei tulisi muuten käytyä ja monesti niiden yhteydessä on jotain nähtävää esim. hienot maisemat. Ulkoiluttajan tehtävänä on suunnistaa kartan tai GPS:n avulla kätkön läheisyyteen ja samalla koirat saavat liikuntaa. Kätköä etsitään lähietäisyydeltä yhdessä. Suurin osa koiristamme osaa "esine"-käskyllä etsiä metsästä ihmisten jättämiä esineitä eli myös koirat pääsevät etsintätöihin. Hauskaa ja virkistävää ajanvietettä molemmille :)
